Research Intern at Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (April 2025 – June 2025)
A significant part of my work involved data collection, where I assisted in the design and implementation of surveys and interviews. I was directly involved in conducting field surveys, gathering data from a diverse sample of urban and rural households. I helped design survey instruments that captured key information on socio-economic factors, healthcare access, and out-of-pocket expenses.
Additionally, I was responsible for managing and organizing large datasets. I ensured that data was correctly entered, cleaned, and stored according to best practices. This required a strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy, as the integrity of the data directly influenced the outcomes of our research.

Research & Development Intern at National Life Insurance (December 2024 – March 2025)
Through this experience, I gained a comprehensive understanding of the health insurance sector, particularly in risk assessment, claims adjudication, and the legal frameworks that govern insurance policies. My analytical abilities were enhanced through exposure to risk modeling, financial indicators, and the evaluation of insurance plans and pricing strategies. I also developed the capacity to clearly and empathetically explain complex insurance concepts, which is essential in managing client relationships.
One of the most valuable skills I developed was handling complex claims disputes, where I learned to balance regulatory compliance with customer satisfaction. This experience deepened my understanding of customer service within the insurance industry and highlighted the importance of maintaining high ethical standards while ensuring fair and efficient claims processing.

Research Contributor at ARK Foundation (November 2021 – March 2022)
As a Research Contributor at ARK Foundation, Bangladesh, I played a key role in supporting public health and social research initiatives aimed at improving community well-being across diverse populations. My work primarily focused on assisting research teams in the design, implementation, and documentation of field-based and community-level studies. I contributed to data collection activities through surveys, interviews, focus group discussions, and observational assessments, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to ethical research standards.
I supported literature reviews and background research to contextualize project activities and inform research tools. For instance, to talk about specific projects, I participated in the development of a literature review focused on the demand for child healthcare. My primary responsibility involved reviewing key research papers, analyzing findings, and synthesizing relevant data to provide a comprehensive understanding of factors influencing child healthcare demand in various regions, with a particular focus on Bangladesh and Sub-Saharan Africa.
