Activities

Clubs

Beyond academic and professional roles, I have been actively involved in several extracurricular clubs that have significantly enriched my personal growth and intellectual development. As an active debater of the Group of Debater (G.O.D), a passion I have pursued since my school days, I have strengthened my ability to think critically, construct logical arguments, and analyze problems from multiple perspectives. Debate has sharpened my public speaking skills, enhanced my confidence, and helped me approach complex issues with clarity and reason.

I also had the opportunity to be a part of the Dhaka University Quiz Society (DUQS), where I participated in various competitions representing my institution. My involvement in DUQS broadened my knowledge of literature, culture, international relations, global geography, and contemporary world affairs. The exposure to diverse topics not only deepened my general knowledge but also nurtured intellectual curiosity and rapid analytical thinking.

Additionally, I serve as an MS Excel trainer for the Health Economics Study Alliance (HESA), a club at my institute dedicated to empowering newly admitted undergraduate students with essential technical skills. Through this role, I teach practical competencies in MS Office, Stata, and R programming, helping students become technically confident and professionally prepared. Working with students in this capacity has strengthened my communication skills, leadership abilities, and commitment to academic mentorship.

Collectively, these extracurricular engagements have shaped my identity as a well rounded individual, equipped with critical thinking, technical expertise, cultural awareness, and teamwork skills. They continue to motivate me to learn, lead, and contribute meaningfully to my academic community.

Sports

Sports have always played a fundamental role in shaping who I am today. From early childhood, cricket and soccer were more than just games to me, they were passions that influenced my lifestyle, disciplined my routine, and helped build the foundations of my character. I spent countless afternoons playing cricket in open fields and evenings chasing a football with friends, and as I grew older, my love for these sports only deepened. Watching matches on television for hours was not simply entertainment; it was a way for me to study strategy, admire teamwork, and learn the mental strength required to perform under pressure.

My enthusiasm for sports continued throughout my academic life, especially during my university years. One of the achievements I am most proud of is serving as the “captain of my institute’s cricket team”. Being captain was a defining experience that went far beyond playing the sport. It required leadership, strategic decision-making, and the ability to motivate and guide a team through both victories and challenges. Under my captaincy, I successfully represented my institute in the “inter-department cricket tournament twice”. These tournaments were highly competitive, demanding intense practice, proper coordination, and mental resilience. In addition to leading the team, I also played as a regular team member in two more tournaments.

Experiencing the game from both leadership and player perspectives taught me the importance of humility, teamwork, and trust. The lessons I learned on the field, discipline, time management, patience, and collaboration—have meaningfully influenced other areas of my life as well. Sports taught me how to handle pressure, how to stay focused on long-term goals, and how to remain positive even in challenging situations. These skills have proven invaluable in my academic and professional journey.

My involvement in sports extended beyond playing and leading; I also took an active role in promoting a sports culture within my community.

I contributed to the formation of the “Health Economics Sports Club (HESC)”, an initiative designed to encourage students to participate in physical activities and maintain a balanced lifestyle. HESC regularly organizes a wide range of “intra-batch sports events”, including cricket, soccer, volleyball, table tennis, chess, and badminton. Helping establish this club allowed me to give back to my institution by creating opportunities for students to engage in healthy competition, build friendships, reduce academic stress, and improve their physical and mental well-being.

Through my journey in sports, I have come to appreciate the profound impact physical activities can have on personal development. Engaging in cricket and soccer not only strengthened my body but also sharpened my mind. Leadership roles helped me build confidence and communication skills, while team experiences taught me empathy, adaptability, and cooperation. Sports have been an essential part of my growth, shaping me into a more focused, resilient, and enthusiastic individual.

Travelling

Boga Lake, Bandarban (June 2024)

Travel has always been more than just an activity for me, it is my passion and one of the biggest sources of peace in my life. I grew up surrounded by an amazing natural environment, and from an early age I felt a strong emotional connection to nature. Whenever I travel, especially to places filled with greenery, mountains, or the sea, I feel refreshed and healed. Nature has a unique way of calming my mind and giving me a sense of freedom.

One of the most memorable chapters of my travel journey was our batch tour in “May 2024”. We visited “Rangamati” and “Cox’s Bazar”, two of the most iconic tourist spots in Bangladesh. That trip was special because almost all of my batchmates joined, which made the entire experience energetic and full of joy. We organized musical nights, performed cultural and traditional activities, and spent hours enjoying the natural beauty around us. From boat rides in Kaptai Lake to enjoying the sunset at Cox’s Bazar, every moment felt unforgettable.

This year, in “August 2025”, I explored “Bandarban”, one of the most stunning hill-tract regions in the country. The natural landscape there is breathtaking, rolling green hills, fresh air, quiet surroundings, and a peaceful environment that feels completely different from the busy life of Dhaka. The trip reminded me how powerful and therapeutic nature can be. I returned to Cox’s Bazar again on the same trip, and even though I had been there before, the waves, the sea breeze, and the long sandy beach felt just as magical as the first time.

Looking ahead, I’m excited about my upcoming travel plans. I hope to visit “Sylhet” and  “Sundarbans”, the world’s largest mangrove forest and home of the Royal Bengal Tiger. I believe this places will give me an even deeper connection to the natural world.

For me, traveling is not just about seeing new places, it’s about learning, discovering different cultures, meeting new people, and reconnecting with myself. Every journey teaches me something new and helps me grow as a person. And as someone who was born close to nature, these experiences feel like returning home.

Photography

Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach (August 2025)

I have always loved photography. It started in a special way—after I got admitted to the University of Dhaka, my uncle gifted me a camera. That small gift changed my life. From that moment, photography became more than just a hobby for me; it became a part of who I am. It gave me a new way to see the world and to express myself.

I especially enjoy taking portrait photos. I love capturing people’s expressions, emotions, and the little stories hidden in their faces. Every person is unique, and I feel excited when I can show that uniqueness through my photos. At the same time, I am drawn to nature photography. Hills, mountains, rivers, and the ocean inspire me, calm me, and make me feel connected to the world around me.

For me, photography is not just taking pictures. It is about freezing a moment in time, saving memories, and telling stories without words. Each photo is a chance to show what I feel, see, or imagine. It allows me to share moments, emotions, and beauty with others in a way that words sometimes cannot. Photography is my way of understanding life and sharing the little things that make it special. I hope one day my photographs can inspire others, just as they inspire me. Every image I capture is a reflection of my journey and my perspective on the world.
